Linda Mussallem

Linda Mussallem co-founded the Linda and Mike Mussallem Foundation with her husband, Mike, both driven by a desire to create solutions that help people lead healthier and happier lives.
A community leader and philanthropist, Linda currently serves on the Advisory Board of the Susan Samueli Integrative Health Institute where she plays an active role in elevating the importance of an integrative, whole person approach to healthcare. Linda also played a strategic role in the formation of the George and Bob Fund in 2000, providing a high level of engagement and guidance for the philanthropic mission, with a particular focus on the health, education and social integration of children and adults with Down syndrome.
Linda, along with Mike, has a long track record of impactful and dedicated philanthropic engagement. Since 2000, they have made substantial contributions to a range of organizations, enhancing the lives of people living with Down syndrome, advancing the field of integrative/whole person health, boosting innovation in healthcare and creating life-changing opportunities for students.
In 1990, Linda redirected her career to focus on her passion of interior design. Linda established Westwind Interiors in 1993, serving as the sole proprietor and undertaking a variety of personalized and impactful design projects. She has utilized her design skills at Glennwood Housing for a dining room renovation and a vibrant activities center, aptly named for Bob and George. Upon graduation from college, Linda joined Union Carbide to open innovative manufacturing facilities, before holding roles in materials management there and later at Morton Thiokol in Chicago, Illinois.
Linda was born in Ottawa, Illinois where she was raised by her loving parents, Jane and Bob, along with her brothers, Bob and Gary. She graduated from Southern Illinois University summa cum laude with her bachelor’s degree in Merchandising.
